The final selection of the SWC Syndicate is now available to purchase. How many times have you walked into a liquor store and not given Wilderness Trail a shot? The Syndicate traveled in August with a large group who made a big adventure out of this pick. Led By Barrel Bosses Steve and Julia, they were joined by Bob Hrodey, Tom Garland, Pablo Sifuentes, Jason Drury (snuck in on a last minute cancellation), and Chris George. On a day that the distillery was closed, we had run of the place. Led around by Cooper the distillery cat, a fun day was had by pickers and spouses alike. The results of a fun day led to this amazing example of a wheated bourbon.
This single barrel has the following notes:
Nose: Initial sweetness with notes of carmel, vanilla & brown sugar.
Palate: Carmel, vanilla and brown sugar are joined by cinnamon with hints of grain and oak.
Finish: Medium finish where the flavors linger giving way to a warm Wilderness hug.
This barrel is 5 years and a few months old. Coming in at a respectable, drinkable, and crushable 112.9 proof.
