This page sets out the Sycamore Whiskey Club’s standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in the Sycamore Whiskey Club mobile app (org.sycamorewhiskeyclub.app), and how to report a concern.
Our standards
Child sexual abuse and exploitation of any kind is prohibited in the Sycamore Whiskey Club app, without exception. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), any sexualised depiction of a minor, grooming, solicitation of a minor, sextortion, trafficking, and any other sexual exploitation of a child. It also includes linking to such material or attempting to use the app to find, share or promote it.
There is no context in which this content is permitted here, and no warning is given before we act on it.
Who can use the app
The app is a private members’ app for an adult social club. It is not open to the public and it is not intended for, or directed at, anyone under 21:
- Membership requires an access code issued by the club and approval by a club administrator. Nobody can see or post content before an administrator approves them.
- Every applicant confirms they are 21 or older as part of the application.
- The club’s members are adults known to the club. Applications are reviewed by a person, not granted automatically.
How to report a concern
In the app. Every post and comment has a … menu with a Report action. Reports go straight to the club’s moderators and administrators.
By email. Anyone — member or not, and whether or not they can sign in — can email [email protected]. Reports of child safety concerns are treated as urgent.
To the authorities directly. In the United States, suspected child sexual exploitation can be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911.
What we do about it
When we become aware of CSAE content or conduct in the app, we remove the content, terminate the account responsible, and preserve the relevant records. We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by United States law, and we cooperate with law enforcement.
Moderators can remove any post, comment or pour, and administrators can suspend or remove a member’s access, at any time and without notice.
